6 years ago today Stead and I stood with our family and friends and promised to walk through life together.  We did not know what was ahead, but we knew we wouldn’t have to do any of it alone.  It’s only been 6 years, but every chance we have to celebrate our family we will!  Today we celebrated our little trio with a hike up Spencer Butte, breakfast & bubble tea downtown, a new game to play (and someday teach Sammy), a food truck dinner (our first date was at a food truck), and relaxing at home with a big bowl of popcorn and a couple episodes of “Arrested Development”.  The perfect low-key mix of adventure, tasty, lazy, and love.
The hike was the perfect little challenge to start out the day.  We haven’t really gone for a hike since I was about 5 months pregnant, so the short trek from the upper parking lot of the Spencer Butte trailhead was a pretty good challenge.  And though it was a bit of a gray cloud morning we got a view as a reward!
