The Adventures of the Halstead Fam!

Fall Has Arrived

The air is getting chilly, leaves are changing colors, and pumpkins are popping up all over Bellingham – FALL IS HERE! This is my favorite season and lucky for me we live in a place where we get a nice mix of gray and rainy days with beautiful sunny days. I am also lucky that Stead loves taking advantage of any kind of weather to be outside.

This last weekend we put our bikes on the car and drove down to Anacortes to go geobiking (the term we’ve coined for geocaching and biking) and camping. Anacortes was good to us! There were lots of unique places to look for geocaches and almost every spot had a different, breathtaking view of the water that surrounds Fidalgo Island. One of the best caches we discovered was an old amphitheater there locals used to gather to watch sailboat races and Navy drills. It was row after row of benches made of rocks, lots of moss and tall grass, and trees all around. And the view of the water was spectacular!

Hope your beginning of autumn is treating you as well as it’s treating us.

Lots of love from Bellingham,
Sarah & Stead
